The wedding night of a man in Uttar Pradesh's Agra turned into a nightmare when he got to know that the girl he married is not a biological woman but a transgender (eunuch). Though the man experienced shock seven years ago in 2016, he has now achieved a triumph and has been legally divorced. This week, a local family court in Agra has termed the marriage null and void and issued divorce orders. According to the case details, the husband filed a petition in the Family Court, claiming that he entered into marriage on January 27, 2016. After the wedding, the spouse left her maternal home and moved in with him. However, on the night of the wedding, it became apparent that she did not possess complete female reproductive organs. Her genitals and breasts were underdeveloped, rendering any intimate relations impossible. The man contended that he was deeply distressed by this deceit, yet felt unable to confide in anyone due to the potential for public humiliation. He feared ridicule and mockery from society for both himself and his wife. The complaint further stated that the man also sought medical treatment for his transgender wife from numerous doctors. Unfortunately, all efforts proved futile, as the woman never experienced menstruation. Seven years after filing the case in the family court through his advocate, Arun Sharma Tehariya, the court deemed the marriage between the two null and void.
